Maintenance, Enhancements & Updates

2021

2021 saw some Board members resign (thank you for volunteering your time)  and we have some new members step up and are working hard to serve you and maintain the West Ambleside HOA.  We’re looking forward to this and would love to meet you or hear from you.  You can reach us at westamblesidehoa@gmail.com!

A quick update from your new Board of Directors:

1.  The new Board has weekly zoom meetings to deal with any issues that come up and to get through the transition period between the old and new Board.  We have a new email address westamblesidehoa@gmail.com, which we check regularly!  Any questions, concerns, ideas or thoughts will be answered in a timely manner as we understand the old email address took longer to get a response.

2.  In the spring the Board became aware that contractors were working on the grounds within the WAHOA without permission from the City.  Since all the park land within the WAHOA is City owned, a maintenance agreement is required.  The City stopped all contractors from doing work to the green spaces within our HOA.

3.  We have since negotiated a contract with the City for top up maintenance to keep our community looking great at a much lower price!  The City does a great job but if there are any concerns let the Board know so we can adjust the maintenance to suit the WAHOA’s needs.

4.  The Board has contractors fixing the fountains as we speak.  The fountains across from the Cascades needed maintenance as a cable was damaged but all three fountains should be working soon.

5.  Getting up to speed with what has been going on has been a challenge for the new board and we have been doing our best to get information from the property manager.  In particular, payment of invoices should be highlighted as we have we have approved payment for all invoices we have viewed as long as they have supporting documents.  We want the WAHOA to succeed and run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

6.  We aim to make regular updates to the West Ambleside HOA website so we can use it as a way of communicating with our members.  We will provide information on the new changes in our WAHOA and how they affect us and remove any outdated information currently on there.  We hope homeowners come to use the website as a useful tool to track what’s happening in the WAHOA.

We are here to serve.  Any questions and concerns please contact us.

2017 – News & Updates

The HOA has repainted some common, exterior fences along 170th Street that are public facing starting on August 7th, 2017.  It took about a month to complete all the painting and minor repairs for this year.  If you have an exterior fence and do not want your fence to be painted in the future please email dave@coremanagement.ca

The fountain in the storm pond northwest of the Cascades was removed as work needs to be done to fix it.

The HOA has arranged for supplemental maintenance for some of the common areas starting each year with a spring clean up.  There are still some common areas that are not yet turned over to the city and are being highly maintained by the developer; as such the HOA is not needed yet in those areas. The developer is expecting to turn over some of these areas to the city sometime during 2018.  We will keep you updated as we have more information to share.
